Go Wild in Brazil’s Amazon
Brazil | admin | July 16, 2010Your work has got you all caught up and what you really need is to go on a major unwinding spree. Brazil, the fifth largest country in the world.
Take a guide along and indulge in a wild fishing experience. Get your fishing canoe. You might encounter some piranhas, but don’t worry the guide will make sure that, you are safe and that you catch some fish!
There is plenty of fresh fish in the Brazilian waters due to the Igapos- flooded lowlands.
Once you are done with your fill of fishing and you probably have ended up catching a bunch of them. You could then probably head to the Ariau towers.
These towers are made quite exquisitely with seven green towers that are connected by wooden walkways. And around these walkways you will get to see an array of monkeys and parrots. The Ariau towers are about two and a half hour boat ride from Manaus.

There is a variety of budget homes that you could find here. With lush interiors and a very cozy feel to the whole thing. The food here is also pretty good. If you are in the look out of something high end and don’t mind the prices, then you should opt for the Cosmica suite. This suite has gained fame because of bill gates and Susan Sarandon who stayed here during their visit to the region.
Once you are settled in and are looking for more adventure, then head out the to river Negro (you might want to get a hold of that guide once again). In fact you can even make this trip at night just to make it ‘bit’ more wilder! Don’t get caught off guard if you see an alligator or a cayman around. Just be calm enjoy the ride and let the guide do the evading.
What you could also do after the entire river ride is head over to the Brazilian state of Parana and experience the Iguazu falls. A collection of about two hundred and seventy five water falls is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. And gives you a once in a lifetime view of an amazing collection of overwhelming beauty and serenity.
You could get an inflatable boat ride through the Iguazu National Park which would be a two hour boat ride.
If you thought the roller coaster was tough, then this ride would be pushing it over ten times! Out here in Parana, bumping into rocks, cascades and your boat taking really steep dips is just about the beginning of what will get your heart racing.
