Located in the Atlantic Ocean in southern hemisphere, almost in sync with the Tropic of Capricorn, Rio de Janeiro experiences a tropical climate. Summers here are hot and humid with rains cooling down the temperatures. The winter and the drier months are between June and September, when rains are not very frequent. Both seasons are good if you wish to visit this place.

Other good beaches in Rio are the Manguinhos Beach, Geriba Beach, Leblo Beach, Joatinga Beach, the Prianha beach that’s excellent for surfing and the Barra da Tijuca Beach.
Fishing and cruising are some other water-related activities that tourists enjoy here.
Other than beaches, Rio de Janeiro has the 400-square miles Tijuca Forest National Park known for there Atlantic rainforest, the Botanical Gardens and the old mansions of Santa Teresa that’s worth touring to.
The city also has quite a few Baroque churches, museums such as the National History Museum, the Imperial Palace Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts and colonial buildings worth looking at.
A nightclub with good live music, the local cuisine, samba-dance, a football game at the Maracana Stadium, paragliding and hang-gliding flights that take off from the pretty Rio beaches, a sunset and sunrise here are just the additional attractions of Rio de Janeiro.

This Brazilian city is definitely one of the best bets in terms of destination where your vacation is going to be like a party.
